Serial Dilution

Used to count the amount of live bacteria in an area
-Take broth with bacteria and make a million fold dilution using a series of 6 additional test tubes with .9mL of sterile broth
-Then remove .1mL of original sample and add it to the first test tube and flick to dilute
-Continue moving .1mL through all six test tubes
