policy paper application

So, over Thanksgiving break, I was job shadowing at the Omaha Zoo, and as we were walking in the rooms where the animals were kept, we had to walk in these buckets with some squishy material at the bottom of it. This strange squishy material was soaked with disinfectant. Mine and Melissa's Policy paper was to have disinfectant mats put at the entrances of hospitals. I never thought of incorporating this policy at such a place, and I mentioned this to the zookeepers. They said no one ever knew what the buckets were for, or why they were important. But I can see why it would be important at a place such as that.
