Pasteur-Koch Aug. 27
The article on Pasteur and Koch was also a great history lesson! Pasteur was interested in immunity and the protection against specific diseases, which lead to the implication of vaccination use. Koch was interested in public health related issues about controlling infectious diseases, which lead to policies underlying sanitary methods. Both of these men made everlasting marks on the field of public health and medicine. It is a shame that due to a simple error they became vicious rivals. The things these men potentially could have accomplished if they had worked together (and spoke the same language ;) could have impacted the medical and scientific world in even more ways!
