messenger RNA
-ss rna copy of dna gene will be translated to amino acid sequence
Transfer RNA
-involved in translation of mRNA to amino acid chain this has a clover leaf structure that is ss but is base paired with itself
one end has an amino acid attached and the other end has 3 bases that can pair with sets of 3 bases on mrna
Ribosomal RNA
-main thing ribosomes are made of and are long lived
-ribosomes are where translation occurs
