GC bonds-takes more energy becasue they have a G(three bonds)C instead of a A=T, more stable at higher temps because of the more bonds holding them together

Acidophiles live best at low pHs (1-3) cause of stomach ulcers= H pylori, internal pH of cells is about 7
Alkalophiles: live best at high pHs (10+) internal pH of cells is about 7
