Importance of Statistics

I have been interested in Public Health for a while and yet I never realized how important a good math backgroud would relate to the field. I was always more aware and interested in more of the research and surveying aspect of the field that I failed to give much thought to the importance of math. I am grateful that I have taken probability and statistics already because the importance of the concepts learned in that class will benefit me tremendously.
