Lol, botulism is really nothing to worry about. There are only between 80 - 100 diagnosed cases of infant botulism in the United States each year. Additionally, in the past 50 years, the proportion of patients with botulism who die has fallen from about 50% to 8% due to improved supportive care. On the other hand, there was 864,480 lives claimed in 2005 (final mortality) by heart disease alone, which accounted for about 35.3 percent of all deaths or 1 of every 2.8 deaths. You are more likely to die from falling down stairs than from botulism. I'd be more worried about safely making it up and down them awfully dangerous stairs if I were you.
