I used m. Lutes for my practice gram-stain in class the other day and concluded that it is gam-positive. My example bacteria was also round and in clumps :)

Although I didn't do any testing for Micrococcus Luteus in lab, I did some research and found out that if it is streaked onto a nutrient agar plate, bright yellow colonies will appear.To confirm it is not Staph, a bacitracin susceptibility test can be preformed.
